In Telangana, the state government has imposed restrictions at the Secretariat as well. Going forward, only one person will be allowed with each pass to enter the Secretariat. Under the BRS government, strict rules were implemented for visitors to the Secretariat, which led to criticism. However, after the Congress government came to power, these restrictions were relaxed.
As the number of visitors increased, security measures were strengthened by the SPF (Special Protection Force). Measures to regulate the flow of visitors are being gradually enforced. Currently, visitors are not allowed to access the 6th floor of the Secretariat where the CM’s office is located. Recently, an increase in visitors on the Chief Secretary’s floor has caused displeasure among senior officials, leading to the implementation of new restrictions for visitors.
